What does personal training with Sarah look like?

We begin with your health history and intake interview. If we decide we are a good match, then we do an in-person movement assessment. From there, I develop workouts, and a program based on your starting point, physical goals, and movement needs.

We will meet on a regular basis in the beginning to go over form, and to ensure you are comfortable in the gym environment, and safe in your weight training. With training in massage therapy and rehabilitation assistance, I approach fitness with a whole-body perspective-demonstrating how movement, recovery, and mindset all connect.

Evidenced-based training is the mode in which I approach your training which emphasizes balance, mobility, injury prevention and structural balance.

I specialize in helping women build a great foundation to excel in their everyday lives and outdoor activities.

Mountain preparedness training at the gym.

I just wanted to thank you for the training you helped me with through the winter, and the workouts you put together for me to follow through the spring and summer!

I just got back from my apprentice hiking guide course and I’m so grateful for how my body held up! The course was 9 days long with hiking almost every day, including a 3 day backpacking exam at the end that was mostly off trail with a pack that was heavier than I usually carry. Even by day 9, I my muscles weren’t sore, and my knees, hips, and ankles never bothered me a bit. I credit that durability to all the work we did together over the winter, and the plan you put together for me to follow through the spring and summer.

I appreciate all of your help! I couldn’t be happier with the results.
